With the technology of InReach® devices by Garmin® and satellite service subscriptions, users can send and receive messages, share locations, and issue emergency alerts when needed.

InReach® devices enable emergency signals to be sent in areas without GSM® signal coverage via the Iridium® satellite network, which provides 100% global coverage and unparalleled connectivity.

Emergencies are handled by the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC), a 24/7/365 operational system for coordinating and managing emergencies, handling the entire process from request reception to dispatching assistance, with operators fluent in multiple languages, including Italian, serving globally.

The Iridium® technology also supports bidirectional messaging, accessible anywhere via connection to smartphones with Apple® or Android™ operating systems.

The InReach® device tracks user movements through its tracking function, sending location updates at selected intervals. Routes can be viewed via a web portal for real-time monitoring as an additional safety feature.

With its long battery life (165 hours), compact size (99x52x26 mm), and Iridium® satellite system, the device is ideal for emergencies in areas with limited or no GSM connectivity.

For outdoor areas or large facilities where Wi-Fi coverage is not guaranteed due to site complexity or size, LoRa technology can be implemented.

The term LoRa refers to a long-range telecommunication technology, also known as LoRaWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network).

LoRa describes the physical layer of the solution, while LoRaWAN specifies the communication protocol built upon LoRa technology.

With just one base station, this system can cover extensive areas such as exhibition centers, airports, or large industrial complexes. Repeaters can be installed to further extend signal range.

The LoRa network can connect one or more man-down devices designed solely for emergency signaling, making this solution ideal for covering vast areas while ensuring lone worker safety.
